Shade Dog Co. started with a simple observation: most of what's sold to Australian dog owners was designed for somewhere else. Somewhere with mild summers, cool pavements and dogs that don't spend December lying on the tiles trying to survive.

So we built a short list of gear for the problems Aussie dogs actually have. Heat. Hot footpaths. Post-surgery cones that make a bad fortnight worse. Boredom on crate rest. That's it. No 400-product catalogue, no filler.

What we stand by

• One product, one problem. If it doesn't fix something obvious in the first week, we don't sell it.
